We are please to offer chip timing for this event!

DESCRIPTION:
This Sprint distance Duathlon will start and end at Halfway Park in Hagerstown, MD.....just 25 minutes from Frederick, MD and 90 minutes from Baltimore and DC. This is a great course for the beginner or the experienced triathlete who wants to go fast! We will host the Hagerstown Youth Duathlon #2 and Hagerstown 5K Run #3 during this weekend. See those pages for details.
Race Limit: 300 participants
Start: We will use a mass start for this event.
Run Course #1: The first run will be a 2 mile loop held entirely in the park on the park road and paved path. The course is not hilly but has some slight elevation.
Bike Course: The bike course is a loop on public roads. The course is slightly rolling with no major climbs and has wide shoulders for most of the loop.
Run Course #2: The second run is entirely in the park using the path and park road. We are redesigning the course this year to do an out and back. There is some elevation but is not hilly.
Transition Area: There is only one transition area for this event.
Timing: This event will be chip timed! We will be providing race day results as well as split times that will be posted within 24 hours of the event.

There are no refunds, transfers or deferments for this race. If you are unable to race you can automatically cancel your registration on imATHLETE.com and receive a coupon to use towards another Racine MultiSports race within 12 months. The coupon value is determined below.
Coupon rules:
-Races not sold out, you will receive a 75% coupon credit until 7 days prior to the event.
-Races sold out or within 7 days of the event, there is no coupon offer for cancelations.
-Coupons do not cover any registration fees that are higher than the value of the coupon.

EVENT RULES:
All athletes must have an approved helmet with the chin strap fastened before entering the bike course. Your local bike shop can provide you with assistance to ensure your helmet meets approval. Drafting is prohibited on the bike course. You must keep 4 bike lengths from the cyclist in front of you. Bikers and runners must obey all traffic rules/laws and race official instructions. Roads will not be closed to vehicular traffic. Volunteers will be placed in key areas to help direct race traffic. No outside assistance is allowed and no one other than the athletes are permitted in the transition area.
